Observations of my world

Sometimes humorous, sometimes inciteful, sometimes irreverent

Buffalo are Waterproof

Well I guess it's a good thing that buffalo are waterproof. My new hat survived the boat tour of Niagara Falls.

The Table

Nearly 12 feet long when fully extended. Three and a half feet wide. "The Table" is the newest addition to what we are lovingly referring to as "Hospitality House", the home we just bought with the blessings God has given us.

We've never had a formal dining room. It's always been more of an eat-in-kitchen sort of situation while the kids were growing up. Don't get me wrong, we had plenty of family meals around the dinner table. Incredible memories with family and friends crowded into a small space enjoying great meals and conversations. We never felt the need for a room specifically set aside for dining.

Fast forward to "empty nest". Now we are at a place in our lives that having a space to gather with family and friends to have great meals and fellowship is more important. When a total of 13 of us gathered together to celebrate Christmas, I got emotional as I looked around and realized I had room around "The Table" for all of us to sit together and enjoy a wonderful meal.

We are looking forward to the coming years as we build relationships around "The Table" enjoying good food and fellowship, sharing God's blessings with everyone who enters the door of "Hospitality House"
